Technology Enhanced Learning (M.S.E.)

Our concentration prepares you to integrate technology into your own teaching and to assist other professionals in their schools ¿ making you an invaluable asset for your school community.
Specifically, our courses focus on helping you increase student learning in pre-kindergarten to grade 12 in the context of a technology-enhanced, problem-based learning environment. All of our programs provide enriching learning experiences to support your continued development of critical reflection, enhancement of professional practice, and meaningful contributions to the community.
The concentration in technology-enhanced learning enables you to take this development and implement it in a way students readily consume information.
Admission Requirements
Applicants to the technology-enhanced learning endorsement program should submit the following information in addition to the online application:
- Official academic records of all previously attended colleges or universities must be submitted directly from the colleges or universities to the Office of Graduate Admission Processing. Hand-carried transcripts, official copies marked Issued to Student and unofficial copies are not acceptable.
- Three letters of recommendation from professors or employers
- A personal statement or résumé.
- Results from the GRE or MAT are required for applicants with an undergraduate grade-point average below 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
Additional requirements apply for international students.
Applicants must have attained an undergraduate cumulative grade-point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Applicants who have less than a 2.75 cumulative GPA may be admitted if they achieve a raw score of 40 or higher or a scaled score of 396 or higher on the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or scaled scores of 149 or higher on the verbal ability and 4.0 or higher on the analytical writing sections of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). For test administrations prior to October 2002, a scaled score of 490 or higher on the analytical ability section is required.

What is the focus of the technology-enhanced learning degree?
The program is focused on utilizing technology as the context for problem-based learning environments. This differs significantly from more traditional programs which focus on technology as an aid for traditional teaching applications.
Typically how long does it take to complete the program?
Students have completed the program in approximately two and a half years by taking more than one course a semester. Most people complete the program within three and a half years.
Will any of my courses help me obtain a state of Ohio technology endorsement on my license/certificate?
The six classes comprising the technology endorsement are required in the master's degree program.
