Travel the world, conduct business in foreign countries and learn about other cultures as you pursue a degree in international business. With the increased globalization of our world, international business is becoming an important — and popular — area of study. Our flexible international business program offers a multidisciplinary education in the global business environment, preparing you to work anywhere in the world.
As an international business major, you will take core business courses, six required international business courses and one elective international business course. You must also demonstrate competency in a foreign language (waived for double majors), and an undergraduate international experience is required.
A minor in international business requires six hours of international-related business courses plus INB 302 and INB 450, the international capstone course. With the approval of the director, you may substitute three hours of upperlevel language or a nonbusiness related course for an international business course.
If you are interested in international business but do not want to major or minor in this field, you can earn a certificate in international business with an emphasis in either marketing and human resources or economics and finance. Additional requirements for the certificate include proficiency in a foreign language and an international experience.
The School of Business Administration’s undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
