BEFORE YOU EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS, YOU HAVE TO NARROW YOUR FOCUS.
With more than 70 majors to choose from, the options may feel overwhelming. Begin with the area that interests you most. Are you good with numbers, logistics and running the show? Try our School of Business Administration. Do you like to build, wire, program or just make things work better? Explore our School of Engineering. Do you like to help others learn, grow and reach their potential? Then our School of Education and Allied Professions might be a good place to start. Or if you want to explore and further expand your knowledge in the arts, humanities or social or natural sciences then start with the College of Arts and Sciences.
HOW EXTRAORDINARY DO YOU WANT TO BE?
Did you think you'd be redesigning an ancient European port? Or developing better ways to sterilize medical instruments in Central America? At the University of Dayton you'll find countless opportunities to do the extraordinary — enriching the lives of others, developing your leadership potential and making you stand out from the crowd.Whether you participate in our vast array of internships, cooperative education, education abroad programs or research opportunities, you'll earn a professional foothold in the world well before earning your diploma.

BEFORE YOU KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GOING, UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU'RE STARTING FROM.
It's time to begin your academic journey. What courses will you want to study? What skills will you use to bridge the gap between different academic areas? By learning about our general education requirements, you can explore these questions and discover how to connect and integrate all of the courses from your undergraduate career.
IT'S NOT ABOUT THE GRADE YOU GET, BUT THE HELP YOU GIVE.
Why wait to use your knowledge for the greater good? We believe the best learning comes from doing. So we constantly find new ways around our community, our country and our world to integrate learning with helping those in need. You’ll find our students helping rebuild the hurricane-stricken Gulf area, delivering aid in Haiti, running a day camp for children in Appalachia and building water filtration systems in Cameroon. For More Information

KEEP YOUR MIND AND YOUR OPTIONS OPEN.
If you’re not completely sure what you want to major in, you’re not alone. Many students switch their major more than once during their undergraduate studies. We suggest that you take your time and keep your options open. Each of our four academic divisions offers Discover Programs that let you begin taking core courses while you explore your interests.
Your Toughest Decision So Far Begins With One Simple Click.
High school is full of big decisions. While we can't help you decide which university is the right fit for you, we can make it easy to apply. You can either use our Application for Undergraduate Admission and Scholarship or the Common Application. The paper version of the Common Application has a $50 application fee. This $50 fee is waived when you submit the electronic version of either application.
Our Early Action deadline is December 15, while our regular admission deadline is March 1.
