 (a shrine in southern Poland)
What is she doing in a big museum between stained glass windows? The Madonna is from Kruzlowa, a shrine in southern Poland. She turns her face to the South -- to Kruzlowa -- where she belongs.
Jerzy Harasymowicz, Madonna z Kruzlowej
The Madonna of Kurzlowa is a famous Gothic-style, carved and painted
wooden sculpture created in the fifteenth century. It is now housed in
the National Museum in Krakow.
