Marian Prayer Corner

The Mary Page often receives requests for prayer. These intentions will be listed below as they are received (newest received are at the top of the list) and will be honored on the web for thirty days. These prayer requests are also included in the prayers of the Marianists and other communities of consecrated life.

We are happy to receive your petitions. Make them simple, clear and concise. Some may require a comment or explanantion. Make it brief and put it after the petition. Petitions should avoid condemnation of individuals. When making political statements, be aware of all parties involved. God's grace is constructive; thus our prayers should be formulated positively. Be sure of your facts. Write as much in English as possible. Remember that we follow the Catholic understanding of intercession and grace. We have to evaluate the content of your submission. We may have to edit or refuse petitions if important requirements are ignored.

Mary is soon to give birth to Jesus. She is searching, watching, waiting. The star in the sky is also watching – waiting. The world is in a place of waiting—a place of fear and war. We await the Christ-child. We are hungry for peace and understanding. This sense of searching, waiting and watching captures the spirit of Advent, the season in which we long for both our celebration of Jesus birth at Christmas and for his return in glory.”

"Praise you Blessed Mother and your Beloved Son Jesus!!! I thank you both for answering my prayers in finding my daughter a new job, and seeing that my husband survived open-heart surgery which was very serious and the chances of him surviving were very slim. However, he came through without any serious complications and the doctors were amazed. He is doing just fine now. I am so grateful to you. I trust that you will answer all others in their time of need and that God's will will be done on earth as in heaven. May all people reject Satan in their lives and return to your Son, Jesus.
