As campus minister for graduate and law school students, Fr. Dave provides spiritual and pastoral support and seeks to facilitate opportunities for faith development. He is eager to meet those who are interested in exploring the connections in their studies, professional aspirations, and spiritual lives. His role as University Chaplain includes sacramental and pastoral ministry to the at-large campus community. Fr. Dave is a Philadelphia, PA native and graduate of LaSalle University. He entered the Society of Mary in 1992 and was ordained a priest in 2001. He holds a M.Ed. in religious education from Boston College and a M.Div. from Franciscan School of Theology, Berkeley, CA. Marianist life has given him the opportunity to serve in campus, parish and retreat ministry, as well as formation ministry for the U.S. Province of the Society of Mary as director of novices. Fr. Dave’s personal background includes a love for the sport of rowing and its Philly home, Boathouse Row. He was a collegiate and amateur rower and coach of LaSalle’s women’s crew, a long time ago. He also enjoys a good “flick,” especially, if it’s old and in black and white. You might see him in the rec plex pool, on the rowing machine, or jogging along the Miami River. He is a member of the 312 Stonemill Marianist community, grateful for the support, example and daily witness of his brothers.
