Listed below are current "urgent" volunteer needs sent to us by our community partners in Dayton. Please contact the community partner directly to sign up for the project.
NOTE: Student organizations that volunteer for these projects MUST register the project with Student Life and Kennedy Union.
NOTE: These volunteer opportunities are not official University programs and therefore are not supervised by the University.
The Foodbank Farmers Market
Friday, September 14
Welcome Stadium
Volunteers are needed from 8:00am – Noon. Please enter Gate D off of Edwin C. Moses and park in the spaces directly behind Welcome Stadium. Then check in at the tent at the D5 light pole. Volunteers will be bagging fresh vegetables and handing the bags out to families. Gate D will be marked “Exit Only” but Volunteers and Staff and Buses will be allowed entrance.

Aullwood Audubon's Apple Fest
September 22 – 23
Help in many of our areas including Children's Activities, Steamed Corn, Apple Butter, Dutch Oven Apple Pies. Help in Parking or with the Green Team and you'll get $5 worth of food vouchers.
a) Pick your day(s) – Saturday, September 22 or Sunday, September 23
b) Pick your shift(s) – you may volunteer for more than one.
- 9:00 am – noon
- 11:45 am – 2:45 pm
- 2:30 – 5:00 pm
c) Contact the Volunteer Coordinator as quickly as possible to let her know your availability.
