Due to the Immaculate Conception Chapel renovation project, reservations for use are being accepted only until July 31, 2014. The Chapel will close for renovation on August 1, 2014 and will re-open in August, 2015. Wedding reservations are beginning to be accepted for October 2015 and beyond.
The schedule date for your Wedding will not be finalized until the Priest Acceptance form is signed by the priest and turned in to Colleen Brown.
Wedding times are allowed between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. and between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.
Because we are not a PARISH, there are ARCHDIOCESAN guidelines to be followed as to whom is allowed to be married in our Chapel. The NORMAL place for a Catholic to be married is in his or her home parish Church. Everything else is an exception and needs permission.
At the University of Dayton Chapel, The Catholic party must be:
- Either a present UD student or
- A Graduate of UD or,
- Present member of faculty or staff or
- A child of present faculty or staff
We do not schedule Weddings:
- During Lent or the Triduum;
- During Advent or
- On Holiday Weekends or when the University is closed.
- On Weekends when special university events are scheduled (like Parents' Weekend and Orientation Weekend)
