06.05.2008 | International, Students, EngineeringThirty-one students from Shanghai Normal University in China have joined UD's senior class this summer as they begin a year of study toward their bachelor's degrees in engineering technology.

The students, who arrived on campus June 1-3, are the third cohort in UD's dual degree program with Shanghai Normal; the partnership started in 2003. Of the 31 students, 19 are majoring in electronic engineering technology; the other 12 are in manufacturing engineering technology.

In their year in Dayton, the students will live with traditional undergraduates in the international/intercultural learning and living community and in other campus residences. After graduating from UD in May 2009, they'll return to Shanghai Normal to complete their program requirements before SHNU's graduation.
