The University of Dayton's School of Engineering graduate program moved up five spots to No. 57. in the U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking released Thursday, April 15.

This is the third consecutive appearance for the University of Dayton's engineering school on the magazine's "Best Graduate Schools" list.

The University's School of Engineering graduate program ranks second among Catholic colleges and universities, behind the University of Notre Dame. The University of Dayton is third among Ohio colleges and universities, behind The Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University.

The University of Dayton tied Brown University for the 57th spot.

U.S. News surveyed 198 engineering schools that grant doctoral degrees. The rankings take into account peer and corporate recruiter assessments, selectivity, entrance exam test scores, and research expenditures and activity.
