Being a Catholic Marianist university means that your son or daughter will be welcomed into a community that is built on faith, but inclusive of all beliefs. We encourage our students to always ask questions and explore all matters, including those of faith and religion, in order to better understand themselves and the world. They will find numerous ways to express their faith or simply contribute positively to the world. We have one of the largest, most engaged campus ministries, committed to bring students together for worship, service, conversation and fun. They learn about themselves and strengthen their faith along the way.

Student Activities

From clubs to athletics to weekend events, countless activities are available at the University of Dayton.

With more than 200 student clubs and organizations on campus, the opportunities are endless, and student are sure to find a club (or four) that matches their interests.

Club sports and intramurals are crowd-pleasers at the University of Dayton. More than 70 percent of the student body participates in intramural and club sports. And for students who prefer watching from the stands, our athletic programs compete at the NCAA division I level.

A variety of performing arts opportunities are available, as well. The University offers more than a dozen music ensembles, and students can also watch plays, attend lectures, participate in workshops or join the action at ArtStreet.
