President
Erin Peery is a Junior here at UD studying Leadership and Human Rights. She feels incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to work with a talented executive board. She is very passionate about living out the University's mission statement to learn, lead and serve through Consciousness Rising. In Erin's free time she likes to read, relax with friends and participate in anything active.
Vice President
Caroline Aubry is a sophomore at UD majoring in International Studies and Human Rights. As Vice President of Consciousness Rising, Caroline is excited to share her passion of social justice to others, and to empower the UD campus and greater community to take action against injustices. Outside of school, Caroline loves participating in Model United Nations and watching movies during her free time.
Logistics Chair
Lauren is currently a senior at the University of Dayton. She is majoring in Communications with a Public Relations emphasis and a minor in Marketing. Lauren grew up in a small town called Minster, Ohio. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends whenever she can.
Marketing Chair
Victoria is a junior Operations Management and Entrepreneurship double major with a Sustainability, Energy, and Environment minor. She is from Ashland, KY and is also involved with Flyer Enterprises and the international business fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi. Victoria's primary interest in Consciousness Rising lies in corporate social responsibility along with fair trade and slave free business. She is responsible for promoting and branding Consciousness Rising and its cause as the Marketing Chair of Consciousness Rising 2013.'
Concert Chair
Colin is a junior Adolescent Young Adult Education major with a concentration in Language Arts, and a Communications minor. Colin likes picnics, music and long walks on the beach. He has been working as the Performers Chair for over a year now, and this is his first year being on Consciousness. Colin could not be more excited to see where the collective passion and social justice mission of this group goes.
Education and The Achievement Gap Chair
Annie Blankenship is junior, middle childhood education major with concentrations in language arts and social studies. She has a passion for working in urban schools which was developed through being a part of the Urban Teacher Academy. Annie is eager to begin a career teaching and hopes to be involved in the policy making process to make all schools equal, so that all students have numerous resources and opportunities. Besides being a part of Consciousness Rising and Urban Teacher Academy she also is a Resident Assistant in Marycrest, Membership Vice President of the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, President Emissary, and is active in her faith through numerous social justice outlets.
Human Trafficking and Over-sexualization of Culture Chair
Meridith is a senior Chemical Engineering Major and International Business Minor from Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to serving as the Human Trafficking and Over-sexualization of Culture Chair for Consciousness Rising, she is the president of ETHOS Club and Co-Pledge Educator for Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. Meridith first began her fight against Human Trafficking in 2008 by co-founding F.A.S.T. (Fight Against Sex Trafficking) with other members of her youth group, and this battle has remained a passionate aspect of her life ever since.
Corporate and Social Responsibility Chair
Britney is from a small town about an hour north of Dayton called Fort Loramie, OH. She is a senior, majoring in Finance and minoring in Actuarial Sciences. Britney has two older sisters and a younger brother. She enjoys golfing and running in her spare time.
