He has been with Flyer Radio for more than two years, running multiple sports shows every semester, broadcasting Dayton athletic events, and managing the News Department during the 2011-12 academic year. Music Director / Programming Manager

Carson Smith is a Sophomore Communications Major from Annapolis MD.  Currently, he is the Music Director and Programming Manager here at the station. This means that he creates the schedule of shows each semester. His other job is to work with record companies to get the station the best new music. Each week I create our automation list which provides old school favorites like Fleetwoodmac and Simon and Garfunkle as well as new artists such as Lana Del Rey and The Barr Brothers. His is very passionate about music, so when he is not listening to music at the station, I am involved with the Ebony Heritage Singers, a gospel choir on campus; as well I am a music minister for Mass in Marycrest Chapel.  He also encourages you to tune into his radio show, TCIF: Thank Carson It’s Friday, Fridays 2-4pm.  You can contact him at wudrmusic@gmail.com

Promotions

Amanda Reitenbach has been with Flyer Radio since 2010, she is a junior Electronic Media major with a passion for music and film. With career goals of directing and editing music videos, she hopes to be Hollywood-bound after graduation. As promotions co-manager, she works with a team to plan events, make t-shirts, and design flyers all to make Flyer Radio’s presence known not just on campus but in the greater Dayton area. Amanda brings her quirky nature and love of all things pop-culture into every aspect of her work with the radio station. Whether it is an exchange of witty dialogue with her co-host during That Cleverly Named Show, or an obscure 80’s movie reference when brainstorming ways to promote Flyer Radio, she holds firm to the belief that oddities are what make people interesting.

My name is Liz Rosevear and I am the Business Affairs Manager for Flyer Radio. I am a junior here at the University of Dayton majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Marketing. Along with being involved with Flyer Radio I also dance for the UD Irish Dance Club and am involved with the Program for Christian Leadership. I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which of course means I am a Steelers fan. In my free time I like to play guitar and hang out with my roommates and friends. As far as my position goes, I work with outside businesses to get them advertising with Flyer Radio and creating good connections with the Dayton community. Networking is key and reaching out to as many people and getting them involved with Flyer Radio is very important. I also help plan events for Flyer Radio on campus and promoting it to our fellow students. In the future, I hope to attend graduate school and work for a Public Relations firm or doing PR for a non-profit organization. I would also love to start my own non- profit organization here in Dayton. Flyer Radio has taught me so much and I absolutely love being a part of it! Liz can be contacted at: 412-443-8482 or roseveare1@udayton.edu.

Sarah VanWalleghem is also one of our Promotions managers. Sarah can be contacted at: saravan29@aol.com

Productions Manager

Steven is currently a junior at the University of Dayton studying Entrepreneurship. He is the productions manager and has gained his productions skills working at the recording studio located across the hall from the radio station. He was introduced to Flyer Radio his freshman year when one of his friends asked him to guest DJ on his show. He then joined Flyer Radio becoming co-host to the show previously mentioned, which he still does today. Music is one of his biggest passions. He plays several instruments and is also in two bands. He loves a wide variety of music which is showcased in his favorite bands that include the likes of U2, Interpol, Tegan and Sarah, Regina Spektor, Green Day, death cab for cutie, The Beatles, Keane, and Weezer. He has great interest in all arts though, evidenced in his officer position in the Art Happening club, as well as his job at ArtStreet. For any production questions or needs you can contact him at majkowskis1@udayton.edu.
