
Executive Council
President
The President should:
- Serve as the CEO of SGA
- Speak on behalf of SGA on all matters
- Maintain office hours during normal school hours and maintain efficient administration of said offices
- Chair all public SGA and Excom meetings
- Have the power to call any emergency SGA meetings
- Have power to veto any act of the SGA within five academic days of passage. Such a veto may be overridden following procedures set down in By-Law IX.
- Be responsible for receiving the SGA fee that shall be collected with the University fee from all full and ¾ time undergraduate students. They shall also be held accountable for any and all other SGA monies.
- Distribute the resolution to whomever he deems necessary and anyone that the sponsor of the legislation requests before the next SGA public meeting.
- The Student Senate may also request other recipients by a simple majority vote. The President must distribute the resolution to these parties by the next public meeting.
- At the following public meeting the President must give an explanation of whom he contacted and through what means in his Presidential report.
- The Sponsor of the legislation may request formal confirmation through copies of sent emails or any other copies of correspondence.

In charge of overseeing and organizing the SGA budget and approving all SGA expenditures.

I work with the 6 academic senators to try and help provide administration and faculty with student input about anything that deals with academic policy. I sit on a few committees in Academic Senate. I meet with the Provost once a month and keep SGA updated about items that require student input in order to possibly make a change, such as the Academic Honor Code. I am also in charge of the Academic Conference Grant as well.

Speaker of the Senate
As Speaker of the Senate, I chair the senate floor meetings that happen once a week. I make sure that Robert's Rules are being used correctly so that bills and resolutions can be properly discussed and voted upon by the senators. I keep track of the passed legislation, and head the bylaws and issues committee. I am also a resource for all of the senators when they need help or advice about any topic.
As Lawnview Senator, my role is to speak for and vote on the behalf of the students who live in Lawnview. I have a budget that allows me to better any area of the lives of my constituents. I also sit on RSAC, which is when all the residential senators can get together and work on campus-wide residential issues.
