Club Men's Rowing

Team website

The University of Dayton Men's Rowing Team is all about working hard individually and as a team in order to perform well in races and competitions against other well known collegiate rowing programs.  Several times a year we race against Ohio State University, University of Michigan, University of Cincinnati, Marietta College, Ohio University, Purdue, and many other collegiate teams.  We travel in the Fall and the Spring to Columbus, Ohio, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Indianapolis, Indiana, various places in Michigan, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the Dad Vail Regatta (National Championships).  Novice practices take place in the evenings during the school week as well as on Saturday mornings or afternoons.  A rowing background is not required and many of our current rowers never rowed in High School.  Varsity practices (more than one year of experience) take place in the mornings before classes start as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings or afternoons.
Joining this team requires a strong body, strong mind, good time management skills, and dedication.  Rowing can help build these skills and attributes to anyone who puts in the effort and has the desire to work hard.  Rowing has the potential to increase your school performance by helping you develop time management skills, work ethic, and team work, as well as the potential to increase your physical well-being.  If you are not sure if rowing is for you or would like more information on how to join, contact the President of the club (contact information below) for questions or concerns!
