Extended Stay & Early Arrival Pricing

Billing

All approved extended stay and early arrival requests will be charged directly to the student’s individual student account. It is the department’s responsibility to share with students how the charges will be assessed. Should a department wish to reimburse the extended stay and/or early arrival charges for a student, it is the department’s responsibility to work with Housing & Residence Life and the Office of Student Accounts to credit the student’s account.

Rates

There are two (2) charges for August 2014 extended stay and early arrival.

  • Personal Convenience = $15.00/night per student - Students who apply and want extended stay or early arrival as a matter of personal convenience will be charged the $15.00 per night per student charge.
  • Group sponsored by a U.D. department = $5.00/night per student - Students who apply as part of a department sponsored group will be charged the $5.00 per night per student charge

Late Fees

The late fee for requesting extended stay or early arrival is $25.00 per student. Late fees are assessed when the request for extended stay or early arrival comes after the published deadline date. Late fees are in addition to the Extended Stay/Early Arrival rate charge(s). All late fees will be charged to the student's individual student account.

Additional Charges

Students who stay late in their University of Dayton housing assignment beyond move-out dates without prior extended stay approval from Housing and Residence Life will be charged an additional one-time $125.00 improper checkout fee. Likewise, students who arrive early to their University of Dayton housing assignment without prior early arrival approval from Housing and Residence Life will be charged an additional one-time $125.00 fee.
