Graduate Housing Options

A limited number of University-owned houses and apartments are also reserved for graduate students, offering a convenient location for you to live and study.

The University of Dayton does not guarantee housing for graduate students. Names are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis through a wait list process by your email request. Apartments are offered as they become available. Please email with your request.


Contracts are available by contacting the Housing and Residence Life Office. Housing contracts are signed for the 9-month academic year. The housing contract includes semester breaks. Extensions may be granted for students pursuing summer study. Housing facilities for graduate/law students are University Place Apartments, Plumwood Terrace Apartments. All units include refrigerator, stove, one phone line, full or extra-long twin bed (36" x 80"), desk, chair, and table and chair(s). Depending on the building and unit layout, the apartment may contain a lamp(s), dresser, love seat, and coffee table and lounge chair. 

University Place Apartments

University Place is a community located next to campus and The Shoppes on Brown Street. University Place offers studio and one and two- bedroom apartments, located within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Limited parking is available.  All   University Place Apartment units include refrigerator, stove, microwave, one phone line, full size bed, desk, chair, and table and chair(s),  lamp(s), dresser, love seat, coffee table and lounge chair(s).  Heat, water, electric, garbage pickup, local phone service, basic cable TV, and a computer network connection are included in the housing cost.

Plumwood Terrace

This 55 unit building that is located three blocks from the School of Law and contains efficiency, single and two-bedroom apartments with limited indoor parking. Single apartments include a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bath. Efficiency units include a combination living room/bedroom, kitchen and bath. Two bedroom apartments include two single bedrooms for two law or graduate, same gender students, living room, kitchen and bath. All units are air-conditioned, and laundry facilities are in the building.

There are a limited number of parking spaces available at a cost of $25 per month. No large vehicles such as SUVs and vans are permitted as a result of limited overhead space.
