Housing Assignment Process For Returning Students

The University of Dayton begins its housing assignment process for the following academic year's fall and spring terms beginning in January with special-interest housing and junior/senior retention.  During March and April, a student housing lottery application and selection process assigns returning students who did not participate in either special interest housing or junior/senior retention. As it pertains to the housing lottery application and selection process, second-year students can only register for and attain housing through the sophomore lotteries. Junior, senior and fifth-year students can register for and attain housing through the junior/senior lotteries.
