Current first-year students can apply for the six six-person Campus South apartments on the sixth floor that create a substance-free community. Students that create six-person groups will be given priority over groups that are not complete. However single students can complete an application. Only current first-year students can apply, Fall 2013 transfer students are not eligible to participate.
This housing is provided to students interested in creating community and living a substance-free lifestyle within their residence and throughout campus. This substance-free community will participate in service and social activities throughout the year. Students choosing to reside on this floor will abide by the policy of no tobacco (chewing or smoking) and no illegal substances.
To apply for the Substance Free Community, you will need to:
- Complete the online Housing Contract and Application which includes Roommate Group Step registration. While six-person groups have priority, groups may register with members numbering one to five as well. The Roommate Group name must begin with SF, and then followed by the Group Leader's name, for example, SF - John Doe.
- Print, read and sign the Substance Free Community Contract (.doc) and Substance Free Housing Application (.doc) and return to Housing and Residence Life, 210 Gosiger Hall, +0950. Fax is also available at 937-229-3446.
- Submit three character references (.doc). One reference must be from your home town and the other two can be from UD faculty/staff. This is a word document that needs to be printed and provided to your references.
