Billing

Please be aware of the following billing information listed below:

University of Dayton Alumni
Alumni must provide credit card information when making the reservation.

University of Dayton Departmental guests
The department will be responsible for booking the reservation with Housing and Residence Life.  The department must provide a University account number to be invoiced for renting the guest house.

Parents of current University of Dayton students
Parent must provide student's name, class status, and University ID number. Parent must provide a credit card when making the reservation.

University of Dayton faculty and staff for personal use
Employee must provide a credit card when making the reservation for billing purposes.

The Renter will receive an invoice for the amount of the rental charge approximately 1 week after completion of the stay. The invoice will indicate that the amount has been paid in full by credit card. University departments will receive an original invoice for the amount of the rental charge approximately 1 week after completion of the stay. The invoice will indicate that the amount has been charged to the university account number provided when the reservation was made.

Damage Deposit

Individual guests reserving a house will be required to submit a damage deposit through either a check or a money order. Checks or money orders should be made out to the Department of Housing and Residence Life and submitted to:

Damage deposits must be received no less than seven (7) business days before the date of the reservation. Failure to submit a damage deposit will result in the reservation being canceled.

Damage deposits will be addressed in the following manner:

  • If there is no damage to either the furniture or the property, the deposit will be returned to the guest.
  • If there is any damage to either the furniture or the property, Housing and Residence Life will keep the deposit.
  • If any damage committed to either the furniture or the property exceeds the amount of the deposit, Housing and Residence Life will charge the credit card of the guest who reserved the house for the amount of money that exceeded the damage deposit.
  • Guests who rent only a bedroom in a house will pay the damage deposit for the entire house.
  • Guests who rent multiple houses will pay the damage deposits listed for all of the houses reserved.
