Student Spotlight: Fred Cox and Brittney Cordes
Brittney Cordes, whose hometown is Cleveland, Ohio, is a third year student dual-majoring in religious studies, and women and gender studies. Brittney is interested in all things related to music and expressing herself through drawing. She is deeply passionate about educating youth and embracing all aspects of diversity and human rights. Brittney is a member of the Interdenominational Ministry leadership team and Students of Sacrifice (S.O.S) praise team. She is the director of diversity and unity for the Student Government Association and she sings in the Ebony Heritage Singers gospel choir. Brittney is actively involved in the Office of Multicultural Affairs and worked as student representative in the office over summer 2009. She is also employed in the Student Life and Kennedy Union Director's Office as an office receptionist. Upon graduation she plans to obtain her Doctorate in Divinity.
Frederick L. Cox III is a sophomore at the University of Dayton majoring in psychology. Fred was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Gamma Theta Chapter and looks forward to contributing and serving in the community. Fred desires to have success in his career and his family life. He is also working toward being a role model for youth. In Christianity Fred realizes the work he does on earth is not just for him, but for others to see and learn about his relationship with Christ. After Fred receives his B.A. in Psychology with a focus in interpersonal relationships, he plans on attending Law School to pursue his J.D. in Law and M.A. in Psychology.
