First-year Commuter Students

The university sponsors New Student Orientation programming and informational sessions. At the beginning of the orientation, there is a special orientation for commuters. Representatives from various services on campus, such as Dining Services, Parking Services, the Student Government Association, the RecPlex (recreation complex), and others will speak to new commuters and family members who wish to attend.

An Academic Engagement Ambassador will lead various dialogue sessions for the commuter students as part of the New Student Orientation events. These dialogues will allow students to network and discuss the many opportunities open to students on campus and give them the tools they need to succeed as commuter students on campus. For more information, check out the Student Development website under the tab New Student Programs.
