Is it necessary to register for Family Weekend 2013?
Yes, Family Weekend events require registration so that we can accurately plan for the correct number of participants. This ensures that catering orders, facilities and supplies will be correct.
Why do I have to pay for Family Weekend 2013?
Your fees help to offset a portion of the overhead required to put on Family Weekend events which involve tents, printed materials, rentals, food and beverage and other services. We do all that we can to keep our fees as low as possible so that as many family members as possible can enjoy Family Weekend with their UD students.
Do I have to pay for my UD student?
Yes, you will need to pay for your UD student, with the exception of the football game (their ID is their admission ticket to the game).
How do I get our tickets and information for Family Weekend?
Upon arrival to the UD campus, you can pick up your Family Weekend packet. You will receive all your tickets and a comprehensive schedule of all events with locations and descriptions of all planned activities.
I already registered and paid online, but I need to make some changes. What should I do?
If you wish to make changes to your order prior to the deadline, please call the New Student Programs office at 937-229-2229.
Is the server secure for credit card payments?
Yes, We offer you a secure server to ensure that your credit card information is completely protected.
I don't want my information sold to a third party. What is your privacy policy?
We are extremely protective of your privacy and security. The information you provide will be used only to process your registration.
Should we bring our UD student's younger siblings?
Definitely! We work very hard to make this a weekend that the entire family will enjoy. And, we'd love for them to get excited about possibly being a UD Flyer someday themselves!
Can I attend classes while I'm on campus?
Because of our small class sizes (and therefore our small classrooms), we don't broadly open our classes to visitors. However, if your student makes prior arrangements with a professor for you to visit his/her class on Friday, by all means join in!
When should I plan to arrive and depart?
Families arrive as their work obligations and other commitments permit. The events begin late afternoon/early evening on Friday. Most families leave on Sunday in the early afternoon.
Are administrative offices open during Parents' Weekend?
Normal business hours for University departments and offices are 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.
How are refunds handled?
Refunds are granted on a case-by-case basis, in wrighting and only when requests are received before the deadline. No refunds will be issued after the deadline.
