Orientation and Camp Leaders
New Student Orientation has several different leadership opportunities for underclass students to be involved in. For 2012, the opportunities include Blue Crew Leaders, Camp Counselors and Orientation Leaders.
The responsibilities for the different positions include:
Blue Crew Leaders
- Assist NSO Chairs with preparation for New Student Orientation
- Lead a group of First-Year students during Summer Camp session
- Oversee Blue Crew at a specific residence hall on move-in day
- Staff social events during New Student Orientation
Camp Counselors
- Assist Summer Camp Chair in organizing and implementing Summer Camp for incoming First-Year students
- Lead a group of First-Year students during Summer Camp session
- Serve as an Orientation Leader for a Welcome Team during New Student Orientation
Orientation Leaders
- Serve on a Welcome Team with one Faculty or Staff member to facilitate Small Group Discussions
- Assist one Faculty or Staff giving a First Flyer Class presentation
- Serve as ushers for various designated events
