Assignment
The First-Year Read is a shared learning experience for all University of Dayton first-year students. You are required to purchase and read a book prior to New Student Orientation, as well as complete an assignment to hand in. The assignment has two parts. Students should be prepared to discuss the book, the additional essays and turn in their assignment during Small Group Discussion 4 of New Student Orientation Week.

To introduce students to university academic expectations through activities including reading, discussion, and writing.
