Lead Mentors

The AYIL Leadership Academy is a leadership program directed to the executive boards of all student affinity groups.  It includes a leadership development orientation, community involvement and a leadership assessment.  This program builds ideally from the Transitions Program for returning students.

The mission of the AYIL Leadership Academy is to empower and equip students of color to be effective leaders in the University of Dayton community and beyond through implementing Marianist values in ethical leadership.

Students will participate in a 1½ day leadership intensive that will focus on the further formation of leadership skills, create a planning foundation for the academic year, and connect students with community leaders.

Contact Daria-Yvonne Graham, M.Ed. at dgraham1@udayton.edu for more information.

The true leader serves.  Serves people.  Serves their best interests, and in so doing will not always be popular, may not always impress.  But because true leaders are motivated by loving concern rather than a desire for personal glory, they are willing to pay the price. - Eugene B. Habecker, Author
