UD Cable TV
The University of Dayton operates one of the most comprehensive cable TV systems of any college with an excellent mix of educational programming and an outstanding array of sports and entertainment channels. Our campus-wide digital cable television network provides programming received via local television stations and the local cable television provider. The offices of Student Development and the Provost select the channel line-up with input from students, faculty and staff.

FAQ
Will my analog ("tube") TV work with UD's cable system?
The new digital campus TV system implemented January 24, 2013 is optimized for use with digital (or "flatscreen") TVs. If you have an analog TV, you have a few options:
- Do nothing. You can still access about 30 local stations with your analog TV.
- Purchase a digital ("QAM") tuner for your TV. Since these generally cost around $125 (NOTE: a digital/analog converter will NOT make your TV compatible) and the channels still won't look great, we don't recommend this.
- Purchase a digital TV. A small digital TV will usually cost about same price as the digital tuner you'd need to make your analog TV work.
How do I access UD's cable channels with my new/new-to-campus TV?
If you have a digital ("flatscreen") TV, use your remote to select "menu," "channels" and "autoscan". When this finishes running, your TV should recognize our campus channel line-up.
