Flyers Serve

Dayton Disaster Relief

How you can help

Many alumni have shared their concern for those in the Dayton community who have been affected by the recent tornadoes. As true Flyers, service is in our DNA and we've heard that you want to support these efforts in the surrounding Dayton communities. Your support and Marianist spirit during this time is truly a blessing.

If you are traveling to campus for reunion weekend June 7-9 and would like to make a donation of items in most need (toiletries, diapers, sanitary wipes, formula), you can drop those off at the Welcome Center in the Kennedy Union Torch Lounge. We will pass along these items to local relief agencies to distribute to people in need. No food or water will be accepted in this donation drive, but can be directed to The Foodbank.

Donations for a rapid relief disaster fund are being collected through the Dayton Foundation. Others interested in serving or donating may contact The Foodbank and the American Red Cross, Dayton Chapter.

We have coordinated efforts with the Red Cross and identified two shifts on Saturday, June 8 to serve. Event details are here, but both shifts are now full. Thank you!

If you are unable to join us on June 8 but would still like to help, you may visit the Volunteer Reception Center on Edwin C. Moses Blvd. between the hours 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily for assignment to a service project.

Thank you for continuing to Learn, Lead and Serve.
