Reunion Weekend FAQ

Reunion Weekend is one of the most anticipated weekend of the year, welcoming thousands of alumni back home to campus. Here are some quick answers to your most frequently asked questions.

Planning and Registration

What are the dates of Reunion Weekend 2018?
Reunion Weekend 2018 is June 8-10.

What classes are celebrating a reunion this year?
The classes celebrating a reunion this coming summer are the Golden Flyers, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2017.

When will I get information regarding Reunion Weekend?
If you are celebrating a reunion in 2018, registration materials for Reunion Weekend will be mailed by February 2018. If you are not part of a reunion year but would still like to attend, please e-mail the Alumni Relations office at reunion@udayton.edu to be included in this year’s mailings.

How do I register?
Registration materials will arrive in mailboxes by February 2018.  Online registration will open on Monday, March 19 at Noon ET at your.udayton.edu/reunion.  This will be registration for on-campus housing and events.  Be sure to refresh the web page at Noon to get the link to register on March 19.

Events

Where/when do I check-in and get my tickets?

Check back later for more details.  Check-in and ticket pick-up will be on-campus starting Friday, June 9 at 10 a.m.

What events are planned?
Each day's schedule of events is listed in the information box to the left. Check back often as the schedule might change.

Do you accept walk-ups to the events?
Although we do accept walk-ups at all events, we ask that you try to pre-register as we want to be sure to order enough food and drinks for everyone. Please note that if you plan on registering for events the weekend of Reunion Weekend, there will be an additional $5 charge per event.

Who is coming to reunion?
A list of those who registered for Reunion Weekend 2018 will be updated after registration opens in March.

What do I wear to the various events?
Friday and Saturday events are casual. Please keep in mind the ever-changing summer Dayton weather could be chilly and raining one minute then hot and humid the next.

Where can I get a snack or some water or soda during the day?
Stop by the hospitality tent for complimentary water, soda and light snacks, provided by the UD Alumni Association available on Friday noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is also a great meeting spot for your friends. Need a little more food? Kennedy Union will be open from 8 a.m to 2 p.m. for pay-as-you-go options.  Also on Saturday afternoon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., come over to Brews, Bites and Bands to enjoy some of Dayton's local food truck and craft breweries.

Housing and Transportation

Is on-campus housing available?
Yes, on-campus housing is available. On-campus housing must be reserved through online registration.  On-campus housing registration will go live on Monday, March 19 at Noon ET.  For details, please visit the Housing link in the left information box. 

Where can I park?
All parking lots on campus will be available to Reunion Weekend attendees starting on Thursday, June 7 – Sunday, June 10. No parking pass is needed and no tickets will be issued as long as you are parking in a valid parking spot. Campus Map

Is transportation available to and from the airport?
The University will not be running a shuttle to and from the airport. If you are staying at one of the local hotels, please contact them to see if you can arrange transportation or visit the Dayton International Airport's website.

Shuttle service in and around campus will be available. More information will be available closer to the event.

Refunds

We had an unexpected change in plans, can we get a refund?

For event tickets, partial and full refunds are available on or before Sunday, June 3, 2018 by sending your request via email to reunion@udayton.edu. Following this date, no refunds will be given as we need to confirm food, beverages and seating.

If you still plan on attending Reunion Weekend, but need to change or add an event, you may do so by going back to your online registration. Please note that event costs will go up by $5 if registering after June 7.

For on-campus housing refunds, full refunds are available on or before Monday, May 18, 2018 by sending your request via email to reunion@udayton.edu. Following this date, no full refunds will be given as we need to prepare the rooms for your arrival.

Please note: Upon checking out of your on-campus housing room, you will be asked to return all keys and/or access cards to the front desk. If you fail to return all keys, you will be charged a $100 lock change charge. Failure to return an access card will result in a $10 charge. This is a safety issue for future guests and students. Please be aware of this, and hang on to and return your room keys!

By choosing to stay in an on-campus room, you will be responsible for any damages to the room during your stay. Your card will be charged for the full amount of damages.

Additional Information

Will I be able to use the RecPlex?
Yes!  The RecPlex, UD's fitness and recreation complex, will be open during Reunion Weekend. We are offering ALL Reunion Weekend attendees FREE use of the facility throughout the whole weekend. Stop by at any time with a photo ID and let them know that you are here for Reunion Weekend! Reunion Weekend hours will be posted soon.

Will I have access to the University's wireless network?
Yes!  Wireless access will be available to all attendees. Check back as we get closer to the weekend for more information.
