Giving Day Events

The entire UD community is invited to the One Day, One Dayton celebration Wednesday, April 10! You can find us in Humanities Plaza from 7 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. and the Hangar from 7 - 10 p.m. A photo booth, #1Day1Dayton photo printer, food, entertainment, yard games and fun activities will be available throughout the day. Can’t join us in person? Watch the livestream of our on-campus giving day celebration.

One student will win two passes for a meet and greet with the music artist at the CAB Spring Concert. Visit the tent on Humanities Plaza to enter. Any student who visits Humanities Plaza can enter the raffle.

Fac/staff can receive 10 points for their Health Activity Tracker in the “other” category by participating in any of the events listed below! Post on social media with #1Day1Dayton and a photo of you at an event, and send a screenshot of the post to UDpoints@cincyhealthworks.com. If you don’t have social media, a photo of you at one of the events will also be accepted.

The entire UD community is invited for the kickoff celebration. Join President Spina, our faculty and staff ambassadors, and student philanthropy volunteers for coffee and doughnuts.


Rudy on the Run will be available at Humanities Plaza.

Come with an open heart for an all-level yoga class. Bring your own mat.


Campus Ministry will present a special guest and musical selection to celebrate One Day, One Dayton.


See some of your favorite faculty and staff take a pie in the face when students achieve donor participation goals, starting with 25 student donors by 10 a.m. Show your support for the brave volunteers — Nicky Adams from the Department of English, Lee Dixon from the Department of Psychology, Jivanto van Hemert from the Office of Student Development and Donnell Wiggins from the Office of Enrollment Management.


Dean Kathy Webb and members of the Klick, Koehler and Ruhlman Award committees will present the 2019 Library Awards. Come meet and congratulate this year’s student honorees.


Join in for a fun and energetic workout with dance moves. Participants who are not already members of the RecPlex will need to sign a waiver at the Welcome Desk and bring their University ID. Locker rooms will be available for use. Bring your own towel, and don’t forget your water bottle!


Get your photo with One Day, One Dayton props and show your support for #1Day1Dayton.


Join Rudy, student-athletes and coaches for fun and interactive entertainment. Test your skills at basketball pop-a-shot, football toss, putting, and a goalkeeper challenge. Enjoy free chicken tenders from Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken while supplies last!

Get a sneak peek of The Library a play coming to Black Box Theatre in Fitz Hall. It is co-produced by the Theatre, Dance and Performance Technology Program; The Playground; the Human Rights Studies Program; and the Human Rights Center.


Students who receive donor-funded scholarships are invited for a special photo opportunity on the steps of Humanities.

There will be yard games, door prizes, cake and ice cream for the UD community, as well as a photo booth with One Day, One Dayton props. The mixer will also include:

  • 4:15 - 4:45 p.m. National Pan-Hellenic Council step dance performance.
  • 5 p.m. Presentation of study abroad scholarships by Associate Provost for Global and Intercultural Affairs Amy Anderson and the Education Abroad Office.

Relax at sunset with an all-level friendly yoga class. Bring your own yoga mat. Glow bracelets will be provided.


Celebrate with us as we enter the home stretch of One Day, One Dayton. Enjoy food; door prizes; as well as free billiards, darts and bowling! Evening entertainment includes student performances by:

  • 7 - 7:30 p.m. Irish Dance
  • 7:30 - 8:15 p.m. A Capella Groups: Audio Pilots, Flying Solos and Remedy
  • 8:30 - 9 p.m. On the Fly Improv
  • 9 - 10 p.m. Kindergarten the Band
