Adult Degree Advancement Program
Specifically designed for students 24 years of age and older who wish to attend the University of Dayton part-time, the Adult Degree Advancement Program allows you to complete your bachelor's degree at your own pace. Day and evening classes are available. The following majors are available through the Adult Degree Advancement Program:

- Dietetics (School of Education and Health Sciences)
- Early Childhood Education (School of Education and Health Sciences)
- Electronic and Computer Engineering Technology (School of Engineering)
- General Studies (College of Arts and Sciences)
- Global Manufacturing Systems Engineering Technology (School of Engineering)
- Industrial Engineering Technology (School of Engineering)
- Mechanical Engineering Technology (School of Engineering)
- Psychology - B.A. (College of Arts and Sciences)
- Psychology - B.S. (College of Arts and Sciences)
Tuition for ADAP is affordable, with cost per credit hour discounted 40 percent off the regular undergraduate tuition rate. Whether you take one class at a time or several classes in one semester, the cost per credit hour is the same.
ADAP is specifically for part-time students. Students who register for more than 11 semester hours are not eligible for the special ADAP tuition rate.
Apply and Register
You must be a high school graduate, have earned a General Education Degree (GED) or have a 2.0 cumulative grade point average from another college to apply to ADAP. You must also be age 24 or older.
Admission to the early childhood education program in the School of Education and Health Sciences requires a completed associate's degree in early childhood education (or the equivalent), a minimum 2.5 grade point average, and successful completion of the Praxis I or evidence of satisfactory ACT or SAT scores. Students can only begin the early childhood education program in the first session of the summer term.
Complete the online Application for Undergraduate Admission as a part-time transfer student. If you are over 24 years of age and select one of the programs available through ADAP, you will automatically be reviewed for ADAP. You must be a part-time student in order to participate in ADAP.
Request that official transcripts from your high school or official results of the GED, as well as official transcripts from any colleges previously attended, be sent directly from the institution to the Office of Admission. Hand-carried transcripts, official copies marked Issued to Student and unofficial copies are not acceptable.

All prior college credits, including those earned through CLEP (College Level Examination Program) testing, will be carefully examined to maximize transfer credit.
Once you have been accepted into ADAP, the appropriate dean's office will contact you to schedule courses.
