Champion high-impact experiential and community-engaged learning as a signature and distinct element of the College’s transformative educational experience.


Key Initiative 1

Promote experiential and community-engaged learning as prominent components of student learning in the College and articulate the distinctive elements of that learning — namely, its emphasis on active participation, reflection, mutuality and reciprocity integration of knowledge and experience, and engagement of the whole person.



Expand Dean’s Summer Fellowship program to support 50 students. 

  • Fifty-five students supported for summer 2017, totaling $76,000.
