Affordability of the MPA Program

The University of Dayton MPA program is cost competitive with other MPA programs in Ohio and the region. With 2023-24 tuition at $730 per semester hour, the 39-hour program tuition cost is $28,470. This tuition is lower than the rate for other University of Dayton Master’s degrees and essentially matches the in-state cost at nearby public institutions.

Graduate Assistantships

The Department of Political Science funds several graduate assistant (GA) positions. GAs perform research and administrative tasks for department faculty. Each graduate assistant receives tuition remission plus a stipend. Interested candidates should contact the MPA Program Director to inquire about openings and indicate interest when completing the application to the program. While the department admits new students on a rolling basis, students wishing to obtain a GA position should apply as early as possible.
