Psi Chi

Psi Chi recognizes outstanding students either majoring or minoring in Psychology, encourages excellence in the field of psychology, and serves to advance psychology as a science. The University of Dayton chapter of Psi Chi was installed on May 2, 1959, making it one of the oldest chapters of this organization. Psi Chi’s national website provides detailed information about available services to members, including access to the Psi Chi Digest, opportunities to publish in the Psi Chi Journal of Psychological Research, and award and grant eligibility information.

Members of Psi Chi participate in annual campus activities including Christmas on Campus, various campus fundraising events, and social and educational events with Department of Psychology faculty. Chapter meetings focus on providing information about graduate school, the GRE, how to get involved with research, various careers in psychology, and building camaraderie between psychology students.
