River Stewards

The River Stewards Program, a collaboration of multidisciplinary students, is dedicated to the conservation and promotion of the Great Miami River Watershed through education and outreach to the University and greater Dayton communities. The general model of the program follows that of the Dayton Civic Scholars program, although the River Stewards Program currently has no academic requirements. During their orientation prior to their sophomore year, students are introduced to the areas of water resource management that they will continue to be involved with during their years as River Stewards. River Stewards actively participate in regular meetings to discuss and implement projects that will support the movement of river stewardship.
