About Us
The principal investigators for the Center for Flame Retardant Material Science are Dr. Vladimir Benin, professor in the College of Arts and Science's Department of Chemistry, Dr. Donald Klosterman, associate professor in the School of Engineering's Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, Dr. Alexander B. Morgan, distinguished research scientist group leader in UDRI's Applied Combustion and Energy Group, and Dr. Elias Toubia is an associate professor for the School of Engineering where he teaches and conducts research for the Civil and Environmental Engineering and Engineering Mechanics programs. Combined, these researchers have 40-plus years of research experience.
