A distinctive aspect of HSI is our approach to student engagement and leadership. Student Leaders and Sustainability Reps are integral HSI team members, playing key roles in the creation, planning, leadership and implementation of the main projects and programming of the Institute. The passion and work of our students is making the UD campus more sustainable and the campus community more connected and engaged in sustainable practices and education.

HSI Sustainability Representatives (Reps) Program Student Leader

The Hanley Sustainability Institute seeks a student eager for an opportunity to gain vocational experience and learning in the areas of student engagement, campus sustainability and sustainability education and outreach. The student will work with HSI faculty, staff and students to brainstorm ways to engage and recruit volunteers to work on campus sustainability projects and sustainability education and awareness campaigns on-campus and beyond. The student leader will work with the HSI team to coordinate and train volunteers to work on new and existing HSI projects, including collaboration with UD Facilities Management and other campus and community partners. The student leader will also work as an integral member of the entire HSI team in planning for and accomplishing the goals of the Institute.
