    Jake Heggie, prominent American composer and pianist, will discuss the creative process and the inspiration behind his composition of his operatic version of the book Dead Man Walking. This class is designed to be of interest to students in English, history, human rights and religious studies, plus those students and faculty interested in the process of putting text to music. A question and answer session will be included.
