The selections from the Rose Rare Book Collection for Imprints and Impressions communicate a complex history of knowledge, influence, survival, and change. These conveyances have been enabled, to a large degree, by the means of multiplying these writings - printing and typography. The talk will focus on the letter form styles and typefaces of the book collection, exploring the historical development of varying letter styles and typography’s role among “milestones of human progress.”

This event is free and open to the public.
