“Mehldau is the most influential jazz pianist of the last 20 years”—The New York Times

Wednesday, November 29, 7:30 PM

Sears Recital Hall

One of the most lyrical and intimate voices of contemporary jazz piano, Brad Mehldau has forged a unique path, which embodies the essence of jazz exploration, classical romanticism and pop allure. From his critically acclaimed solo performances, to his longstanding work with the Brad Mehldau Trio, this meticulous musician continues to garner awards and admiration from both jazz purists and enthusiasts alike.  Meldau is joined in the trio by Larry Grenadier (bass) and Jeff Ballard (drums): of their recordings, it’s been said that each one “… is a cause for celebration.” (All About Jazz).  Just imagine what it means to hear them live.  Supported by the Cityfolk JazzNet Legacy Endowment.
