Marian Consort

“…sublimely refined, … and impeccably tuned performances.” – The Times of London

Thursday, October 18, 7 p.m.

Chapel of the Immaculate Conception

Taking its name from the Blessed Virgin Mary--a focus of religious devotion in the sacred music of all ages--the Marian Consort is a dynamic early music vocal ensemble based in England. Although less than a decade old, the ensemble has recorded more than a half-dozen CDs, and has been nominated for a prestigious Gramophone Award.

The Marian Consort’s repertoire encompasses the music of the fifteenth to seventeenth centuries with a particular focus on the exploration of lesser-known works, often bringing these to the attention of the wider public for the first time. This special performance is part of the programming celebrating the 75th anniversary of the University’s Marian Library.

NOTE: This event is free, but ticketed. Tickets may be picked up or reserved in advance at the Kennedy Union Box Office. Call 937-229-2545 or visit Kennedy Union between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday while the University is in session.
