Nonprofit & Community Leadership Graduate Certificate

The Nonprofit & Community Leadership graduate certificate is designed for students considering careers in the nonprofit community sector, those interested in developing their leadership capacity, and students generally interested in community service and public life. The program is dedicated to the development of mission-driven leaders, organizations and communities. It emphasizes fundamental knowledge about nonprofit and community-based organizations, the current trends, challenges and best practices in nonprofit leadership.

Admission Requirements

Students seeking admission to the certificate program will satisfy the following entrance requirements based upon academic standing:

  1. University of Dayton undergraduates may apply upon attaining junior standing (60 semester hours) with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  2. University of Dayton graduate students may apply at any time during their degree program provided they possess a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  3. Certificate-only students must have successfully completed a baccalaureate degree, and attained an undergraduate cumulative grade-point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Applicants who have less than a 2.75 cumulative GPA may be admitted after an interview with the certificate coordinator.
