Meet the Staff Series - Emma Francois

We will now introduce you to Emma Francois! Emma is a sophomore studying Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in Math and Social Studies. She is from Columbus, Ohio. Keep reading to see what Emma has to say in response to the interview questions:

What do you do at the CCE? I’m one of the students on the blog team, it is my job to help edit posts and sometimes write random topic posts.

Why did you join the Blog Team? I am passionate about education and want someday to teach in a Catholic school. I thought this would be a good way to stay up to date about what is happening in Catholic Education.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I like to read, sing, watch Netflix, volunteer, listen to music, and spend time with my friends.

Why do you support Catholic Education? I am currently in my 15th year of Catholic school, and I have really enjoyed my education experience. I think going to Catholic school has helped me grow, both as a student and spiritually. I think that I have been very lucky to attend Catholic school and I want to help promote them as much as possible.

What Catholic Education topic are you most passionate about? I am really interested in standardized tests and they affect the education system, and the Catholic education system in particular.

Who is your role model? Describe him/her/them: My mom is my role model. She is the most selfless person I know. She is always doing everything for me and my dad and my three siblings. Whenever I have a problem or just need to talk I know I can call my mom. She is also a teacher herself, and she is the reason that both my sister and I want to be teachers.

Tell us three fun facts about you: My favorite band is Arcade Fire. I once almost got arrested at a Chipotle for being too loud. I drink so much Diet Pepsi that I’m pretty sure it’s running through my veins at this point.

Emma’s energy and positive attitude is truly infectious. She has a beautiful spirit that reflects in everything that she does, especially in her study of education. This girl will one day be an incredible teacher because of her passion as well as her sense of humor! Please pray for Emma in her work with children and as she studies to become a teacher.
