Life in Another Country

Coming to China was a very spur of the moment decision for me. I am a homebody so the idea of living on the other side of the world was really daunting. I applied to the China Institute after the deadline had passed and was accepted with little to no time to reassess my decision to study in China and take this huge step out of my comfort zone. Everything about China was foreign to me, but, soon after coming here, I discovered how similar China was to America. It wasn't the food or the customs that surprised me most about China; what surprised me the most was how quickly this place became home. It is extremely empowering to be able to pick up and move across the world and find out own little niche. I feel like I cn do anything now. I met some of the kindest people here, and I've had an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend studying in China with the University of Dayton.
