Law Alumni Awards: Nominate Today!

We encourage all University of Dayton School of Law Alumni to nominate a colleague for an alumni award. Awards will be presented during Alumni Weekend and include:

  • The Distinguished Alumni Award is given each year to a University of Dayton School of Law graduate who reflects the School's values of professional integrity and community service through achievements of exceptional merit, honor and influence. These outstanding graduates demonstrate a sustained dedication to justice, ethics and integrity through distinguished professional accomplishments.
  • The Honorable Walter H. Rice Honorary Alumni Award is presented each year to an individual who is not a graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law, but who represents the ideals of the school through exemplary achievement. This award recognizes significant contributions to the legal profession, the community and the School of Law. Any graduate may nominate a colleague to receive this honor.
  • The Steven E. Yuhas Alumni Special Service Award honors Steve Yuhas' dedication to the School of Law and his accomplishments as president of the Alumni Association. The award recognizes a University of Dayton School of Law graduate's extraordinary service and contributions to the Alumni Association, the School of Law, its students and the community. The award recognizes individuals who are deeply involved in the work of the Alumni Association and the School of Law through exceptional contributions of time, talent and financial assistance.
  • The Francis J. Conte Special Service Award recognizes an individual's extraordinary community service, as reflected in the School's Catholic and Marianist values, and support for the School of Law through donations of time, talent or financial assistance. This award may be given to anyone who supports the School of Law.

Nominations should include information about the candidate such as professional activity, employment, honors, distinctions, leadership qualities, involvement in professional or community organizations, involvement with the University of Dayton School of Law, or a brief explanation that supports your reason for nomination. Please vote only once.

Submit nominations by Friday, January 21, 2017.
