Take a Self-Guided Tour of Mary?s Gardens

By Olivia Gillingham, Library Specialist in the Marian Library

Have you seen the Mary’s Gardens exhibit yet? To help you explore and discover along the way, grab one of our guides from the table next to the living garden, and hit all the highlights of our tri-level exhibit. Learn the Marian names and significance of many of the flowers in the garden and the stories behind the two statues featured there. Engage with the history of the Mary’s Gardens movement through the displays of artifacts, papers and photographs from the John Stokes and Mary’s Gardens collection on the second floor. Finally, reflect with the 24 paintings by Holly Schapker on the seventh floor, depicting scenes from the life of Mary, and featuring a different Mary flower in each one.

See the self-guided tour here, and don’t miss this exciting exhibit. Open through May 10th! go.udayton.edu/marysgardens
