Updates
The All About Mary website was recently updated to appear consistent with all other University of Dayton web pages. It may be accessed at udayton.edu/imri/mary or go.udayton.edu/allaboutmary.
There were a few modifications made to make the site more intuitive and user-friendly.
The subject headings (thesaurus, taxonomy) are now on the right side of the page. Users can now have the ability to drop down all the way to the most specific Marian term.
The contact and connect boxes are on every page under that right navigation.
Also, under the right nav bar is a box that directs users back to the search box. Before, if one were on a random page, they needed to go back to the home page to access the search box. This will appear on every encyclopedic page. It is not on the home page; and it is not on our foreign language pages. Now users can access all three ways to search from any page (except foreign language pages) in All About Mary.
The alpha listing index pages and the subject index pages now have headings that make more sense and let users know exactly what they are looking at. Also on the subject index pages, one will see "Filtered by" under the headings; and a breadcrumb of sorts populates as a user drills down.
Similar changes had already been made to the web sites for the International Marian Research Institute and for the Marian Library.
Please note that on the Marian Library's web page is a new 4-minute video on the Marian Library.

Holy Father’s Homily at Mass for Liturgical Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Guadalupe (Zenit) December 12, 2018
"Mary teaches us that, in the art of the mission and of hope, many words and programs aren't necessary," according to Pope Francis. "Her method is very simple: she walked and sang."
His remarks came on December 12, 2018, as he presided over the Eucharistic Celebration in the Vatican Basilica, on the occasion of the Liturgical Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Guadalupe.

The Marian Library at the University of Dayton is recognized both nationally and internationally as a center for scholarship on the Blessed Virgin Mary. The collections cover the history, spirituality and ecclesial foundations of Marian studies including Marian art, art history, and visual resources.
The Marian Library was founded by Marianists at the University of Dayton, a private Catholic institution, in 1943 and celebrated its 75th anniversary in fall 2018. Holdings include: circulating books; periodicals; rare books; artwork; archival materials; and digital collections. Because Mary is present in many cultural traditions, the collection is international in scope and includes materials in over one-hundred languages from 1473 through the present day....
