Kanopy and Chill

Have you checked out Kanopy yet? University Libraries has an awesome streaming database of movies and documentaries that can assist in your work or just for your viewing pleasure! One film available on Kanopy that looks interesting is a documentary called Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic?  by New Day Films. It is about the use of the plastic bag. The film summary says it "presents a factual, provocative and emotional story about the negative effects of plastic, in hopes that viewers recognize their own habits of consumption and are compelled to make changes in their own lives." Ellen DeGeneres has made mention of this film.

Watch thousands of award-winning documentaries, training films and theatrical releases using Kanopy. Kanopy has more than 26,000 films in its collection on every topic imaginable. Kanopy’s viewing platform makes it easy to watch, share and discuss films across our campus and at your own convenience. Enjoy!

To find Kanopy, go to the University Libraries Home Page. Click on “Databases” – Click on “K” – and Click on “Kanopy.” Streaming free movies is a great way to "chill" and spend time indoors when it is so cold outside!
