Summer reading

Summer would be very boring without a good book. Thankfully, Roesch Library can connect staff, faculty and students with books to read for fun at Roesch Library and beyond. Search for books by title, author, keyword, etc. using our online catalog. Are you more of a browser? Come see our diverse collection of popular reads/leisure reading in our lobby and in the first-floor Knowledge Hub. You'll see "Staff Picks" stickers on the spine and cover of books vetted by library staff.

Not finding a book on your list? You can also borrow books through consortiums such as OhioLINK (academic libraries) and SearchOhio (public libraries). All you need is your UD ID card! Use the OhioLINK and SearchOhio catalogs to find a book. You can request books from either of these systems and they will arrive within 3-4 business days. You will receive an email that the book is ready for pick up at the Access services desk in the lobby of Roesch Library. When you're done, you bring it back to Roesch and we send it back for you. It's all free!

With your UD username and password, you can also enjoy free access to the New York Times online. This means you can read book reviews and find book recommendations off lists like "Ten Famous People on What to Read This Summer."

We are here to help if you can't find a book! Please contact us
