Not Just a Weekend...

By Tori Schoen and Meggie Yoder

We quite often say that Lighthouse is not just a weekend. But in many ways, it is. The time spent on this retreat is simply a channel, a new path to God's love. His love is what's truly everlasting and truly what we want to not just be one weekend. We spend a weekend building a community of love and light. We carry that back to campus and our lives after graduating. What we carry is God in our hearts that we are better able to shine forth because of our beautiful weekend together. We welcome everyone to join this Lighthouse community as we listen to the stories of others and grow in our ability to be vulnerable about our own stories as well.

Let us bring each other to God by being a light for one another and let us see God as the light that shines even in the darkest of situations.

If you are interested in taking part in exploring your spirituality, self, and relationships through ritual and community reflection, sign-ups open on Friday, September 8th at noon.

For more information regarding the Lighthouse Retreat or other retreats here at the University of Dayton, please go to the Campus Ministry webpage and select Retreats and Small Faith Communities.
